Noel Gallagher has quit Oasis, according to statment by the musician on the band’s website. His departure from the band, which he pinned on brother Liam, came following the second consecutive cancellation of a European show.
Oasis pulled out of its Aug. 25 date at V Festival — the last UK date of the bands current tour — saying that Liam was ill with viral laryngitis. The band was supposed to follow Bloc Party on stage at the Rock en Siene Festival earlier this evening (Aug. 28) in Paris when their cancellation was announced.

I think the bigger news here is that Oasis was still together up until this time.
