I’ve been considering a purchase of Paul Shaffer’s new autobiography, We’ll Be Here for the Rest of Our Lives: A Swingin’ Show-Biz Saga.
Now I may just have to pick it up.
Shaffer has been at the flashpoint of some of the great show biz moments of my life: the birth of SNL, SCTV, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Late Night and the Late Show with David Letterman, Avengers #239.
Through it all he has remained pretty nonplussed.
Now, Rolling Stone reveals that Jerry Seinfeld left Shaffer a messsage offering him the role of…
George Costanza on Seinfeld.
Shaffer didn’t return the call.
Try to wrap your shiny head around that one kids.
