Late Night Madness with Craig Ferguson

I KNOW!

I’ll admit I was skeptical when CBS announced Craig Ferguson as the new host of The Late Late Show a few years ago.

Mr. Wick?

From The Drew Carey Show?

The fey Scotish guy?

Really?

Okay.

It didn’t help that our local CBS affiliate pushed the show back half an hour to air Frasier reruns and now continues the trend with Jeopardy.

Then a strange thing happened.  I’d catch bits and pieces of the show and to my surprise, Ferguson was really good.  His rambling monologues and mugging for the camera worked.

I became a fan.

Then, last night, Ferguson aired what may be his magnum opus.

This was BEFORE the opening credits.

It was positively Kaufmanesque.
