Last week, the Official Chuck Facebook Page linked to an article by Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly asking –
What the [bleep] is going on in this picture?
A follow up article shed a little light on the mystery photo.
It appears that in the Chuck season finale Buy More supergroup, Jeffster, will debut their first ever music video. The only clue is that the song was featured in a western themed movie in the 80s.
The only promise?
The video would be the worst of all time.
The discussion on the Facebook thread quickly turned to “Blaze of Glory” from Young Guns II.
That’s a good choice, but its wrong.
How can I be so sure?
Easy.
I’ve seen the movie the picture pays homage to. Haven’t you?
Look familiar?
The movie in question is 1987’s Dudes starring Jon Cryer, Daniel Roebuck and Flea.
Yes, that Flea.
I remember watching this movie sometime in the wee morning hours in late 1990. Cryer was trying to escape Duckie, a feat I don’t think he really accomplished until he found Alan on Two and a Half Men.
So now you have my movie guess.
My song guess?
Well, its been 20 years since I saw the movie, but scanning the soundtrack listing it sure looks like “If You Love Someone (Set Them Free)” by Sting. That would make for a wonderful awful Jeffster video.
Don’t know the music of Jeffster?
Allow me to educate you my friends.
The tw0 hour season finale of Chuck airs on NBC on May 24.
Tune in to see if I’m right.
Geekgasm over.
